It's so easy to use the same old decorations you've had for years - as you put it 'Drag out those cherished decorations'. Yes, some are cherished and worth keeping but I think it's a good idea to throw out some of the tired decorations now and again and look around for something new. You'll probably find something of much better quality.

Good morning Detox,

Thanks so much for sharing your wife's appreciation of her aunt's gift by wearing it not only to commemorate the season when it was given but all year round. I'm sure she remembers her aunt fondly each time she slips that apron on to prepare a meal for the family.

It should tell you when you get favorited, so you don't have to go looking. Does wonders for self-esteem, except when no one has.

Life is all about the small everyday pleasures. The small things, those are the ones that make us happy. You can buy happiness, but that will not last.

Hello Pink Potter,

Thanks for leaving a comment.

Good for you. that "phone call window" really frees up time to attend to our other commitments.

Hi Jenna,

Once we learn to master that first point, we usually find it easier to work on the others.

Hi Kristina,

You have done well by taking action on what you read. May your friendships deepen as you take the initiative to nourish and sustain them.

The point 3 is the key for me. I was continuously interrupted by phone calls and even the simpler task took me hours and they never completed in way I can say "I'm satisfied".

Now I have a "phone hours window" and I shut off the phone ringer when I need to work and be concentrated. This save me hours of work and has increased the quality of the work and the quality of my life!

I try very hard to select my words carefully now that I am older. A nasty divorce taught me that lesson.
